Carmen Castillón Gámez is one of the most talented and determined athletes on the international padel scene. Born in Málaga on February 4, 2002, Carmen stands out for her powerful and spectacular style of play. A left-handed player (backhand), she makes the most of her physical build to dominate the net, bringing presence and aggression to her offensive play.

Throughout her career, she has achieved significant milestones on the international circuit, reaching the top 60 in the FIP world rankings and establishing herself as one of the most promising players of the new generation.

In addition to her technical talent, Carmen is known for her extraordinary competitive spirit. In June 2025, during the semifinal of the FIP Silver tournament in Timișoara (Romania), she faced one of the toughest challenges of her athletic career: despite severe chest pain, she chose to finish the match. After the match, she was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with blood clots in her lungs (pulmonary embolism) and micro-heart attacks, a condition that required a long and delicate course of treatment and rehabilitation.

After months away from the courts, Carmen tackled her recovery with the same determination she shows during competitions. Her desire to return to the spotlight led her to complete a journey of athletic rebirth, culminating in her official return to the international professional circuit in March 2026, at the FIP Bronze tournament in the Netherlands.
