Padel Trend Expo Milano: Italy’s first major event dedicated to padel kicks off January 13–15
The first edition of the Padel Trend Expo is set to kick off. The event, which will take place in Milan from January 13 to 15, 2023, at MiCo Fiera Milano City (in Milan’s historic exhibition center), was created with the goal of bringing together the padel community and providing a space for enthusiasts, industry professionals, and everyone who plays and loves this sport to meet and connect. It is the first Italian event of an international caliber entirely dedicated to the world of padel. An unmissable event for all players and fans of this sport, as well as for companies, brands, and retailers of apparel and accessories operating in the sector.
The result of a collaboration with the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and organized by Next Group, the Trend Padel Expo was designed to offer visitors an immersive experience through an exhibition tour and a series of conferences, activities, and side events set on six playing courts set up for the occasion. During the three-day event, visitors will also be able to explore the numerous booths and purchase products directly from the industry’s leading brands and retailers. In fact, the exhibition area will feature more than 90 exhibitors, including the top brands in apparel, racquets, accessories, and technical equipment, as well as service providers and manufacturers of courts and roofing systems.
Padel Mi Amor will also be participating in the event and will have its own booth to showcase its fall/winter collection and the latest arrivals in men’s and women’s padel apparel. Padel Trend Expo Milan: Scheduled Activities and Events
The event’s program includes a series of activities, conferences, roundtables, and training courses, as well as dedicated areas set up for corporate workshops and to facilitate meetings and dialogue between companies and customers. Six playing courts will also be set up for the event—provided by the industry’s leading players—where international champions and top coaches will demonstrate their skills. Among the big names in attendance will be: Martín Di Nenno, Mati Díaz, Tolito Aguirre, Oscar Agea, Veronica Virseda, Juan Manuel Restivo, Carolina Orsi, Marco Cassetta, Marcelo Capitani, Emily Stellato, Martín Sánchez Piñeiro, Álvaro Montiel, Minerva Huertas, and many others. Among the top coaches in attendance will be Martín Echegaray, Guilliem Vives Rigo, Gustavo Spector, Maxi Castellote, and Marcela Ferrari.
Over the three days of the Padel Trend Expo, there will be a total of more than 180 hours of play, exhibitions by top champions, matches and tournaments featuring VIPs and special guests, as well as master classes with the best padel schools, top players, and instructors, and on-court testing of new products.
The conference area, on the other hand, will host meetings, seminars, and events that will address and explore various aspects of the game of padel: from the latest safety regulations for sports facilities to choosing the best padel rackets, from athletic training to the latest innovations in the industry. The event will conclude with a secret party, the location of which will be revealed a few days before the event begins.
Events You Won’t Want to Miss
Among the must-see events at the Padel Trend Expo, the opening day will feature the first European Mixed Padel Championship, a competition in which pairs consisting of athletes with and without physical disabilities will face off. Teams from Italy, Spain, France, Ukraine, and Vatican City will take the court.
The Italy Padel Tour Bombeer & Friends is scheduled for Saturday, January 14, and will feature a number of former soccer players competing against each other, including Christian Vieri, Vincent Candelà, World Cup champion Luca Toni, Daniele “Lele” Adani, Nicola Amoruso, Christian Panucci, Gigi Di Biagio, and many others. On Sunday, the Top Padel Events will take place, featuring former national team players from basketball, rugby, and boxing competing in a new sport, along with the Fashion Padel event, which will bring together well-known figures from entertainment, fashion, sports, and the internet.
