The second edition of Premier Padel returns to the Allianz Cloud in Milan from December 4 to 10
Following the huge success of the first edition, the Premier Padel P1 returns to Milan, December 4–10, 2023, and is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events on the international padel scene followingthe cancellation of the Premier Padel P1 tournament in New Giza (which was scheduled to take place in Egypt from October 30 to November 4), due to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the resulting geopolitical instability in the region, and the subsequent cancellation of the Premier Padel Il Major in Mexico, caused by Hurricane Otis, which recently struck the coast of Acapulco.
The Premier Padel Tour, promoted and recognized by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and supported by Qatar Sports Investments, the Professional Players Association (PPA), and—starting this year—the International Padel Players Association (IPPA), will feature 48 pairs of top players, including 37 from the FIP world rankings, 3 wild cards, and 8 qualifiers from the preliminary rounds, with one major change from last year:the addition of a women’s tournament alongside the men’s.
Once again this year, Padel Mi Amor will be present in the exhibition area with its own booth to showcase the very latest in technical apparel and accessories for the fall/winter season.
Milan Premier Padel P1: the schedule
The Milano Premier Padel P1 will be the final stop of the season on the official global padel circuit, following the Major events in Doha, Rome, Paris, and Monterrey (which will take place from November 28 to December 4) and the P1 event in Madrid. The final event of the World Padel Tour (which will merge with Premier Padel in 2024 to form a single major circuit) will be the Masters Final in Barcelona, scheduled for December 14–17, where the top men’s and women’s doubles teams will compete for the titles of “maestro” and “maestra.”
The Milano Premier Padel matches will be held at the Allianz Cloud, which also hosted last year’s edition, while the qualifying matches will take place on December 3 and 4 at City Padel. The prize pool for this event will be in line with other P1 events and will award the winner 1,000 points in the Premier Padel rankings.
From Tuesday, December 5, through Saturday, December 9, the main draw matches will be divided into morning and evening sessions, while on Sunday, December 10—the day of the finals—a single session is scheduled for both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
Tickets, organized by match sessions, are already available for purchase on the Ticketone website. Members of the FITP (Italian Tennis and Padel Federation) will also be eligible for a 20% discount.
